ABOUT ABOUT

Advances in digital technology are impacting every aspect of filmmaking, including acting. Today's actors are performing in ways that was only imagined in the past.  In the "Acting in the Digital Age" workshop, Rosalyn Coleman (Roz) will be covering acting in web series and new media, script analysis, cold reads, and techniques for working with the camera and script. This workshop is perfect for the actor who has had some basic film/TV technique or those who are wanting to improve their on-camera style. This class will help take you to the next level in your career!

Roz is an actress and incredible acting coach. Recently voted Favorite On-Camera Teacher in the Backstage Readers Poll for the 2nd Year in a row, she was the on-set coach for HBO's hit series "In Treatment" starring Gabriel Byrne.

Last year, Roz served as the stand-by for Angela Bassett in THE MOUNTAINTOP Broadway play with Samuel L. Jackson. Her other Broadway credits include: RADIO GOLF, SEVEN GUITARS, MULE BONE and PIANO LESSON.
Roz's film credits include IT'S KIND OF A FUNNY STORY starring Zach Galifinakis, FRANKIE AND ALICE starring Halle Berry, BROOKLYN'S FINEST starring Richard Gere and Don Cheadle.

Roz's TV credits include recurring roles on NBC's KIDNAPPED, HBO's OZ, NEW AMSTERDAM on FOX, WHITE COLLAR, several appearances on LAW & ORDER: SVU and LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT. Recently she was cast in the HBO pilot SPRING FALL.

As a director with her film production company -- Red Wall Productions -- Roz has cast and directed several award-winning films that have played on TV nation-wide and in film festivals all over the world. She is currently directing the hit web series JUSTICE. The love she has for acting and directing does not compare to how much she loves teaching.

"The greatest pleasure for me as a teacher is to facilitate the person to reach their humanity. I want my clients to leave the room knowing their personal power as a base to communicate anything that a human is capable of experiencing. The passion, commitment and love of acting I offer to every student and client I work with has turned my job as a teacher/coach into something else. It's not a job; it's a joy."
